Lewis is a Better Business Case practitioner, based in New Zealand specialising in development of high quality business cases using the Five Case Model. He led the project team to develop the Better Business Cases guidance for the New Zealand State sector and has since provided a range of consulting support and expert advice on nearly all aspects of the roll-out of the Better Business Cases programme.

Lewis led the project team to develop the Better Business Cases guidance for the New Zealand State sector. He has since provided a range of consulting support and expert advice on nearly all aspects of the roll-out of the Better Business Cases programme. This has included supporting the New Zealand Treasury to update the guidance material and supporting tools, advising on process improvement, assisting the community of practice, to build international linkages and to build the capability of New Zealand public and private sector practitioners.
Lewis has trained over 500 Public and private sector practitioners and reviewers as part of the Treasury’s nationwide training and capability development programme.
Business Case Consulting provides a range of training support to clients, including APMG International accredited Better Business Cases Foundation and Practitioner training.
In addition to successfully developing significant business cases using the Better Business Cases approach, Lewis has assisted clients by facilitating stakeholder workshops, building organisational capability, developing business processes and providing independent quality assurance services. He has a diverse and expanding client portfolio that includes Government departments, crown entities, tertiary education institutions, local authorities and district health boards.
