Homes as Power Stations (HAPS)

Value People have been working with Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council to develop an Outline Business Case (OBC) for the Homes as Power Stations Project. 

​

This has involved facilitating workshops with key stakeholders to establish the proposal's investment objectives, high-level options and potential costs/benefits.

​

The OBC is being prepared for formal scrutiny and approval by the Cabinet Office and Welsh Government.

Value People have been instrumental in supporting Neath Port Talbot CBC through the Five Case Model business planning process. Value People understood the requirements of the Five Case Model business plan and understood the technical nature of the Homes as Power Stations regional programme the Council was developing on behalf of the Swansea Bay City Region partners.
 
In addition, Value People provided Five Case Model business plan training to a number of officers. This training has equipped the Council with the necessary skills to make informed decisions in relation to prioritised schemes and to secure strategic funding to support the delivery of Council priorities.
